Okay y'all, another week has passed. Are you exercising? Have you lost any weight?
I ran out of my thyroid medication and took my sweet time getting the refill. Since the thyroid controls your metabolism and my thyroid function is low without my medication, that was about the dumbest thing I could do!
I gained a pound!! That's not the direction I want to see the scales going!
In addition, with my metabolism low, I haven't felt like doing a thing. No exercising for me.
I did start back on my medication yesterday so I hope to get myself headed back in the right direction. I really wish I would exercise and leave the soda pop alone. I'd really like to be thin again.
So tell me how y'all are doing....

Well. Erin & I just got back from vacationing in Salt Lake City and Yellowstone Park. I would have to say that we ate out for every meal with the exception of one or two breakfasts. I am scared to get on the scales! I might have a stroke. If I do, then those of you who have read this comment will know why.
I am planning on starting back the walking again hopefully tomorrow. But as I understand it, portion control must also be involved in order to lose weight. Ugh!!!
Tonette (aka Frederick, Big Daddy, Big Guy, Dad, Tony, Fred, and the favorite-- Butthole) are going to Colorado in a couple of weeks. I would like to lose a little before we go.
So, I am now going to enter the Twilight Zone of Scales and see just how must I gained. Wish me luck!
I climbed Pinnacle Mountain yesterday! I had to stop at each of the 10 numbers going up the mountain in order to catch my breath and allow my heartbeat to return to normal, but I did eventually reach the top. Sweet Victory! I did have to stop on the way down to admire a little red, black, and gray colored snake that a dad and his two innocent-looking daughters were trying to catch. They said they were going to show it to mommy. I said I was sure she would be delighted. They said it was their first day of homeschooling ....Bless their hearts.
When I stepped on the scales last Saturday (my birthday), it showed a decrease of 3.4 pounds from the day before. I was shocked. Ken said it was obviously a birthday gift. I'm sure it had more to do with the ebb and flow of water retention (although 3.4 was a little extreme for one day). I'm still yo-yoing the same five pounds. However, I did start writing down my weight each Saturday to get a weekly comparison rather than the daily bouncing up and down. Perhaps sometime soon I will also start writing down what I eat each day. That's supposed to help, too.
No word back from Donna since the 25th.... Should we check to see if she stroked out?
Congratulations on making it to the top!
I had several inches cut off my hair today. Do you think that will make a difference when I weigh on Sunday (that's my once a week weigh-in day)? I haven't done another single thing to encourage the number on the scale to go down! I'm really getting quite irritated with myself!
Disposing of several inches of hair may not show up on the scales, but it will certainly make you feel a little lighter. I bet it looks good. I decided to let mine grow out a couple of months ago. The family is excited, but I'm not sure it's a good idea while job searching.
Where is Carmen?? Studying for that big test?? When is the test?
What happened to the memberships at the Y? Gathering dust like my Wii Fit? Perhaps I should play with that today.
No, I didn't stroke. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm still fat, but when I got a mani-pedi yesterday, the little Vietnamese girls said I was beautiful. Such sweet young ladies.
I love going there.
Here's a surprise-Tony also loves going there.
As far as weight loss goes, I have been too shy to get on the scales since Monday. I'm pretty sure there would be no change.
Maybe I should get my hair cut. Hmmmm.
