Ok, I fixed it.

I think everything is fixed with my Comcast Blogger account and the Gmail Blogger account. I removed my old self and put my new self in with the rest of you.

As far as the resolutions go: I've (mostly) given up soda. I drink A LOT of water and tea. When I'm feeling desperate, I grab a diet coke. I'm still slipping with late-night snacking. Last night I munched on mini-Hershey's bars and Werther's while playing my Xbox360 till 2 in the morning.

BUT I also keep track of these munchies and any other meals. I've kept a Food Diary on my little Touch iPod Jill got me for Christmas. I pull it up, put the date, the time and what I'm having and, if it's readily available, the calorie count. I've been doing it for a few weeks now. It's so funny - when I go back to the beginning, the list is looong. Snacking all day and weird things, too. 3 Pickles, a Pepsi, and Doritos at 10 pm? I've gotten down to 5-7 entries a day. Breakfast, coffee, munchies, lunch, munchies, and then dinner. Sometimes munchies. When I start feeling the dreaded munchies, I think, 'Do I really want to add that to my list?'

For example, last night I stopped myself from having a king size Twix because I looked at what I'd already had and made myself put it down. I didn't want to add it. If it was on paper then it really happened and I couldn't ignore it.

I'd like to workout more but standing on my feet all day makes the couch look too inviting.

Kaitlin, I'm impressed that your recording what you eat. I have read that it's very beneficial to cutting your intake if you have to see it in black and white, and I've tried to convince myself that I need to keep a food journal. So tell me, have you lost any pounds now that your down to seven entries a day? Give me some inspiration....

I wish I would write down everything I eat, but then I'd have to add the two bowls of strawberry ice cream I just consumed! Maybe I'll start a food journal next week.

I spent 45 minutes on a treadmill yesterday. Walked a little over 2 miles. I decided it would be a light day since my legs were still killing me from the previous workout!

Tuesday, I am meeting with a personal trainer to discuss a good plan for getting physically fit. We're just going over the plan! Not an actual workout. At least that's my understanding. I'm using the cardio equipment to get warmed up for the anticipated torture sessions revealed in his plan.

More importantly, I'm trying to figure out how to do that little shimmy move in the latin dancing. I could go to the Zumba classes if I could figure out how to wiggle my shoulders so my breasts would shimmy. I'll probably go to the class anyway because from what I've seen most the women haven't figured out that move.

I lost about 20 pounds . . . several years ago . . . when Cliff and I kept food journals. However, that was when I had a lot of free time. My job at the time was to ride shotgun in the truck and keep Cliff entertained. I had lots of time to keep the food journal, count calories and make plans for meals.

They've built a beautiful path right across the street from my house. It wanders through a woodland park. I run into herds of deer and jack rabbits while exercising. I managed to put in 35 minutes today. Haven't lost a pound however since we started this blog.
