Well, Donna, I'm not Carmen, but I'm pleased that you've lost that two pounds. How often do you weigh?
When I was your age I lost and regained the same five pounds over and over again. Sometimes I'd know what I did wrong ... or what I ate wrong ... but much of the time there was just no good reason for fat to cling so stubbornly to my belly and behind. Seemed like I could swallow a deep breath of fresh air back then and gain weight on it.
Today, I'm 25 pounds lighter than I was back then, but it's only because I got sick. I'd give anything to be that fat again. I know it's worrisome for you to be overweight, but, Donna, if you are healthy and you feel good, don't be overly concerned about your dress size.
Go to the store and try on lots and lots of different styles until you find just the one that looks good on you and then buy one in every color. I'm telling you ... half the heartache about excess poundage is simply that your clothes don't fit properly.
Lose what weight you can. Accept what seems to be gonna stay with you no matter how hard you try to get rid of it ... And go shopping.
I've only been home from my trip for 3 days. Right now, I think I'm up 2 pounds.
Okay, if you're going to get serious about this, I'm going for a walk . . . right now!!! . . . or maybe I'll mow the yard. And I'll weight (shudder) in the morning . . . first thing. I need all the help I can get.
I've lost 5 pounds, but that's been in the last four weeks - so technically, part of that was before the blog started.
Okay, Donna, you pushed my get-up-and-go button. I walked with the dogs yesterday and again today. My weigh-in this morning shows an increase of 1/2 pound. I figure that's pretty good considering how well I ate while traveling. Maybe tonight I'll manage the walk over to the YMCA.
Well Well Well Honeygail!
You are totally the "cat's meow" losing 5 lbs. I will be looking forward to the day when I can say "I've lost 5 lbs." Awesome! Keep up the good work!
I am slimfasting but believe me it ain't fast!
I've walked 2 days, I drank a little grapefruit juice and ate a little tuna. I'm down a pound!!! The great thing about weight that you've just put on is how quickly it comes off. :)
I've joined the Y, and I've walked the dogs 4 days in a row. They have a latin dance aerobics class at the Y. That sounds like so much fun. I'm going tonight.
